Parc Montsouris

You can see in the 14th arrondissement of Paris a public park and that is the Parc Montsouris. You can see it on the river gauche. It measures 15 hectares and has an English garden style. Napoleon III ordained the park and Baron Haussmann planned to add green areas to Paris.

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris encloses the southern area of the park. You can see residential flats on the north and east end and along the avenue Général Leclerc to the west by residential district. You can see a historic entrance to the Paris catacombs in the water reservoir in the northeast portion.

If you want to go to a sanctuary of peace and color then you can go to the Parc Montsouris. It is already green and is a primary residential south Paris. The Romantic-style Monstouris Park is not far from Montparnasse and it offers you a stress-free feeling away from the busy day. Kids most definitely love this park because of the ice cream, pony rides, playgrounds, and the puppet theatre. Monsouris is French for mice. History and tradition has it that the name of the park was derived from the rodents.

There numerous of students populating it today because there is a university near it namely the Cité Universitaire.
