The Jardins de l’Observatoire connects the Jardin du Luxembourg which is one of the most popular parks in Paris, with the Observatory of Paris. The north area of the avenue has two gardens: The Jardin Robert Cavalier de la Salle and the Jardin Marco Polo.

Together, the two gardens create a long park unofficially known as Jardins de l'Observatoire (Observatory Gardens).
